A new 19,200-square-foot, six-story, 33-unit affordable rental housing project on a 6,700-square-foot lot near Kapiolani Boulevard that we collaborated on from the schematic design phase to construction documents phase. Ground floor parking was maximized with the use of a 4-level mechanical parking structure with pit.
A "flag lot" with many and varied angles, as well as the use of a 4-level mechanical parking structure with pit presented numerous design challenges. Working closely with the Architect provided us with a unique opportunity to learn and familiarize ourselves with new standards and local code requirements.
